Elementals explores nature as a living, sentient force—an interconnected system of energy, transformation, and exchange between people, plants, and environments. Through the lens of nature as both magic and myth, the paintings combine elemental forces and seasonal cycles with mythology and symbolism through anthropomorphic natural forms.
Through fluid compositions, luminous color, organic structures, and layered surfaces, Hinebrook creates mythical environments where female deities merge with landscapes. The paintings explore the interconnectedness between human experience and the natural world, revealing nature as a source of transformation, intuition, and spiritual connection.
Forms emerge, dissolve, and transform as bodies become landscapes, landscapes become psychological spaces, and abstract fields become interconnected systems. Curving lines, biomorphic shapes, and fragmented figures suggest cellular structures, botanical growth, energetic fields, bodily forms, and elemental forces. These forms exist in states of becoming, while lines and gestures trace movement, vibration, and connection through natural systems.
