  • To enquire about commissioning a piece please contact is directly at:

  • Michelle Hinebrook works with a limited number of clients each year to create one of a kind commissioned stained glass works. She will work directly with you to create stained glass windows, sculptures or paintings that are truly unique to your individual taste. This can be done by email using photographs and digital renderings.

  • We will help create a brief and propose several designs for you to choose from. We then digitally place the designs into your space and confirm the colors by sending glass or paint chips by mail, if desired. This remote way of working is very successful and ensures you are completely happy with your commission.

  • We create pieces that reflect your personal taste and design vision. Working directly with private clients, interior designers, architects and corporate clients, this is a highly personalized service designed to create pieces which are unique and tailored to meet the requirements of a specific interior, color scheme, space or perhaps to complement existing furniture or artworks.

  • Commissioning a piece from Michelle Hinebrook, affords you the opportunity of working directly with the artist to create your design. Clients get a high level of service and are given options and ideas at every stage to ensure the final design is truly unique and personal. We welcome commissions for artworks specifically designed and produced for a clients project requirements.

  • To begin the process, we arrange an initial meeting face to face or on video phone to discuss the creative brief for the project. We discuss the location of the piece, dimensions, color palette, creative themes and inspiration for the piece to be designed.

  • Once a design direction is chosen, Michelle will confirm the brief in writing and then sets to work designing within the agreed color palette, size and shape to create a number of design solutions. When the sketch concepts are completed, these are presented for discussion. The next stage of the design is a refinement of one chosen design.

  • Based on the feedback from the initial design presentation, we will proceed to the next phase, producing more detailed sketches and visuals of how the piece will work within the intended space. Presented as either visual sketches, floor plans or by placing the visual concept into a photograph of the space, the final concept will be refined in line with your feedback through to agreement of the final finished design.

  • Final specification and production: Once the final design has been agreed, the detailed specification will be discussed, looking at options for materials, options on finishing, and the associated costs for production. Once the final specification is confirmed, exact costs and timings for production of the final piece can be agreed and production can commence.

  • Pricing: Once we have a feel for what you are looking for and the amount of work required to realize your project we will provide you with a design proposal and pricing for the design process and materials. The commission design process is priced in stages. If for some reason you do not wish to proceed after the initial stages of design you will only be charged for the work completed. Please note that we only accept commissions for pieces which are larger than 2ft in size.
